Hello there! 잘 지냈어? (How are you?) I have been from a veeeeeerryyyy very long hiatus and I decided to come back. I am now a full-fledged doctor and I am currently working as one, in a nearby hospital. How have you been? As continuation from our first Korean Reading Exercise , I would like to present to you another batch of Korean words that you can try practicing on! Are you ready to practice your Korean? If you want to reinforce your knowledge about reading Hangul, you may proceed to this post on how to read and write Hangul to refresh your mind! From now on, our reading (and writing) exercises will feature a specific theme so as to make things easier to read and understand! I can still remember when I watched the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha", which features a poor girl who later on grew up to be one of the most celebrated and beautiful geisha in Ancient Japan. Who would miss that pristine face, a face that (again) might have launched a thousand ships? With an angelic face like the one below, boy, who wouldn't fall in love with that woman? Well, basically, I've been experiencing a really hectic schedule, and everything, I think, is not going according to plan. I've been busy that I'm forgetting to write here (and hoping someone waits for me to do so, :D). I don't know, I guess there will come a time that I will have a very very generous schedule so that I will have time to share and experience more and more things that I know about Korea and life.

When you decided to end it all..

We are now in a very modern world, and we are overwhelmed with too much things to think of. Students now have more things to learn, workers now have too much to work on, and everything else. Everything gets complicated and hard that they already give us a lot of stress to deal with. Moreover, illnesses and sorts are one of the things that puts more stress to some. And now, because of these stresses that we feel, some people just can't take it, and decided to end it all.

Pinoy Snacks, anyone?

I have shared to you my experience on teaching Koreans, right? Being their teacher for quite a while, I have also discovered some things that my Korean students like, as well as I use these snacks to reinforce their learning. These snacks will definitely awaken their sleeping bodies. Literally. Whenever they are losing interest in the topic being taught, just say the keywords "I will give ______ to those who can get the highest score in our exam later!", and these sleepy student will be attentive at an instant. Satisfaction guaranteed.

My Korean Teaching Experience

"I don't like Koreans. I just don't." This is a statement that I made before, after hearing from people that they like K-pop, as well as K-dramas and such. Years ago, the K-wave has been felt all over the world, with several songs, movies, and series being widespread all over our country, the Philippines. Actually, this hype has been started with a Korean, Sandara Park, has won a Philippine Talent Show, Star Circle Quest. This bubbly lady, also known as Krung-krung, has melted some of Filipinos' hearts with her charm. After some time, she went back to Korea, and eventually joined a K-pop group, the 2NE1.

It's not as easy as you think!

As I have studied the history of both countries, I have been well aware of the dispute between North Korea and South Korea. The two countries have been forced to become enemies, though they are once a very united country. The other warring the other, and the other defending from attacks of another. We have known South Korea for so long. We can all see that the country is a peaceful one, and has been open to the world with everything that it could share. It was always tagged as the "Nice Korea" for it is very nice to its people and to foreigners.
